The PRL is closed to prepare for Autumn Quarter 2026.

Getting Started

The PRL is available to any registered Stanford student. Use of the facilities requires an active safety orientation status, resetting each academic year in September.

New Users

1. To create an account, pass the PRL Safety Quiz (requires logging in with a stanford email address) and follow the automated email link within 24 hrs to set a password and complete your profile. If you miss the 24 hour window, click "Forgot Password" under the login prompt to receive a new link.

2. Once logged in, visit the Safety tab to sign up for an in-person safety walkthrough. You may begin using the lab immediately after completing the walkthrough.

Returning Users

PRL users with an active account may continue to log in using the same credentials for AY26-27.

Users who maintained active PRL safety status in the previous academic year have the option to renew their safety orientation by passing the PRL Safety Renewal Quiz. Please log in and visit the Safety tab. A link to the quiz will be available for eligible users.
